1 Full Cup of the Everyday Man’s Vocabulary
♦ Break free from all of the fancy – upscale corporate jargon. You can still write smart without using “corporate” language.
♦ Be personal in how you speak to your audience. Develop a smart and interesting dialogue that each individual can relate to. Stay away from sounding like a robot.
1/2 lb Marketing & 1/2 lb Communication
♦ A blog is in its entirety… a social media outlet. Having this social blog enables you to reach a wide range of individuals that are within your target market.
♦ A social online connection is used in two ways. ONE, You are able to market your brand in a personalized and simplified way to your audience. TWO, You are then able to build a relationship based on interactive and constant communication.
2 Hand Fulls of Rubber Bands
♦ Be flexible! Your blog gives you a means to speak about and become involved with your community, industry, government, etc.
♦ Get outside of your corporate comfort zone. Utilize your blog to have a variety of subjects that are important and interesting to your audience.
♦ Wrap it all together. Be different enough to peek the interest of your audience, but be similar enough that your blog still relates to your brand. Create a theme for your blog. This can be as simple as a cohesive voice or tone throughout all of your blog posts.
3 Tons of Chocolate
♦ Develop a relationship with your target audience
♦ Encourage your audience member to want to come back and learn more. This will reinforce that initial relationship and in turn encourage and increase customer conversion (or interaction) within your blog, social media sites, website, etc.
