In this role, the Bookkeeper will be responsible the processing of payments along with standard accounting duties, including maintaining accounts, invoicing, purchasing and collections. The ideal candidate will be a QuickBooks Online pro with superior organizational skills and attention to detail.

This is a part time position.

Some essential functions include:

  • Maintaining reconciled, adjusted accrual basis accounting records
  • Ensuring all expenditures are properly authorized, classified, and documented
  • Monitoring information flow between accounting records and 3rd party applications
  • Coordinating with the payroll provider to record payroll
  • Coordinating insurance requirements and onboarding new employees
  • Invoicing of all clients per contractual terms
  • Adding vendors, customers, and jobs within accounting system
  • Securely collect documentation required for compliance (i.e. w9)
  • Tracking of commissions owed and paid (through the invoicing system and process)
  • Updating payment status on receivables and payables
  • Updating tracking sheets, as required
  • Expense tracking by class and customer
  • Purchasing supplies, materials, and software as needed
  • Other ad hoc projects and reporting, as requested by management

Experience requirements:

  • BS/BA in Accounting or other relevant work experience with proven results
  • A minimum of 5 years’ experience in Bookkeeping
  • QuickBooks Online experience required
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
  • Brilliant interpersonal and communication skills
  • High level of communication and organizational skills
  • Self-motivated
  • Must be able to think strategically and demonstrate critical decision making
