In this role, the Director of Business Development will be responsible for networking, prospecting, account sales, proposal creation and participation in creating marketing initiatives. We are looking for a qualified sales professional, manager, and marketer who is creative, enthusiastic, entrepreneurial and intellectual looking for a career, not just another job. This person must be motivated, a good communicator, critical thinker and a self-starter. This is an incredible opportunity to build a lasting career.

Some essential functions include:

  • Generate new appointments through prospect calling, networking, referrals, and in-person appointments
  • Interact with prospects to understand needs and objectives, and to identify the appropriate solutions Paradigm provides
  • Communicate client need to Paradigm team members and develop proposals outlining client objectives and providing solutions
  • Maintain relationship with clients
  • Identify and personally pursue growth opportunities with existing accounts and businesses
  • Create proposals to present and close on these opportunities
  • Develop a referral network
  • Interact with Marketing for new marketing initiatives
  • Maintain and update the sales database
  • Prepare sales action plans and strategies
  • Schedule sales activity
  • Negotiating with prospects with management support
  • Maintain sales activity records and prepare sales reports
  • Ensure customer service satisfaction and good client relationships by following up on sales activity
  • Perform quality checks on product and service delivery
  • Monitor and report on sales activities and follow up for management
  • Conduct cold calls
  • Participate in sales events
  • Monitor competitors and market conditions

Education/Experience requirements:

  • BS/BA in Sales/Marketing or related field
  • High level of communication and organizational skills
  • Strong leadership skills-ability
  • Strong experience in sales or business development
  • Minimum of 3 years sales and/or marketing experience
  • Must be able to think strategically and demonstrate critical decision making
