‘Tis the season of giving, and what better way to spread holiday cheer than by supporting families on their journey to recovery from dangerous domestic situations?
Paradigm was honored to join TeamPAR’s 23rd Annual Selfless Elves Toy Drive! This marked the 8th year we partnered with TeamPAR to help families have happy holidays!
This heartwarming initiative continues to support the Jersey Battered Women’s Service, a lifeline for over 400 children and 200 families each year.
Here’s how it worked: The shelter transformed into a holiday boutique, where mothers and grandmothers selected special gifts for their children. They also received gift cards and wrapping paper to make the season truly magical.
In 2023, our goal was to have 23 of each item on our Amazon Wish List!
Many joined us in achieving this goal and bringing the true magic of the season to children in need.
Donating was a breeze. Many simply ordered from our Amazon Wish List, and together, we helped New Jersey families create cherished holiday memories.
We made this season extra special for those who needed it most!
The Impact:
JBWS’ Holiday Project served more clients than ever before in 2023! During November, JBWS was able to provide Thanksgiving assistance to 179 non-residential families, and 66 residential clients received Thanksgiving meals just before Thanksgiving Day.
The Adopt-A-Family program benefited 247 clients this year, up from 198 in 2022, while the Holiday Boutique supported 655 clients, up from 559 in 2022. We also provided over $24,500 in gift cards to clients throughout the Holiday Project.
The extensive support provided through the Holiday Project was made possible by the 930 service hours provided by more than 130 volunteers, the 39 staff that worked on the Holiday Project, and 85 donors that supported both the Holiday Boutique and Adopt-A-Family program.
