As a competitive swimmer growing up and a marathon runner now, I’ve always been results-focused – reaching a time goal, and then figuring out what my next goal is and how I’m going to get there. The same thing excites me about marketing. There’s nothing more rewarding than seeing an increase in revenue, hearing consumers raving about the product you’ve worked on, or witnessing a happy client because of the results your marketing has driven.

Marketing first piqued my interest at university when, for my dissertation, I chose to study, “From a Yuppy Status Symbol to a Daily Essential, Why Has the Mobile Phone Become an Indispensable Part of Our Lives?” The product and consumer journey fascinated me, and I had (and still have) a yearning to understand target audiences, cultural, sociological and technological impacts, and the reasons why people buy the things they do. It made sense to seek a career in marketing, and in my first position in my hometown of Cambridge, England, I was fortunate enough to pursue my passion further after receiving a sponsorship from the company to obtain a professional marketing diploma.

Over the years, I’ve gained experience with just about everything that falls under the marketing remit – at both startups and large organizations, and even as a freelance consultant – targeting B2B and B2C in the media, tech, travel, professional services and events industries. With this breadth of marketing experience, I have mastered what it takes to build a marketing strategy, including executing the plan and measuring results, and being able to pivot at a rapid rate.

Now, as Senior Marketing Strategist at Paradigm Marketing and Design, I’m able to apply my marketing experience to helping clients meet and exceed their desired results. I offer unique insights into our clients’ marketing strategies by helping them identify where there might be gaps or opportunities for growth, with a clear focus on increasing revenue and profits.

Loughborough University, Bachelor of Science (Honors) in Sociology
Cambridge Marketing College, Chartered Institute of Marketing Postgraduate Degree

Personal Fact:

Sarah has run eight marathons and is in pursuit of the Abbott World Marathon Majors, a series of six of the most renowned marathons in the world. With London, Berlin, Chicago and NYC under her belt, she has just Boston (which she’s qualified for in 2021) and Tokyo left to go.
