The hashtag has become the butt of a lot of jokes. Is there a right or wrong way to use it? That depends. If you are a business using the hashtag to gain new followers, or new business, then you should have a plan. If you’re an individual using the hashtag on your Tweets, Google+ posts or Instagram, then it’s pretty much a free for all.
