Why We Created Our Charitable Impact Contest

Charitable organizations work hard to help those in need. Whether it is providing research and support to sick patients or building and providing homes for families or creating fun events for children and adults, each organization is making an impact on their community. This is the reason why we created our Charitable Impact Contest! Each quarter, Paradigm picks a charity to support financially as well as through volunteering time and this quarter, it was so hard to choose, we are asking for your help.
Each member of the Paradigm team has chosen a charity that is close to their heart and nominated them to win a donation and support from Paradigm for the quarter. This contest is not only helping these charities, but is also building our team morale. Through our nominations, we learned more about what is important to each of our team members while coming together to develop this contest. Samaritan Inn
Samaritan Inn is a non-profit organization which has been serving Sussex County since 1977. They offer a variety of services ranging from a food pantry to temporary housing to holiday dinners and gift programs. In 2015, they distributed 21,040 pounds of food to their community! Samaritan Inn works hard throughout the year to make sure that many people are provided with their basic needs.
Special Olympics, New Jersey
Special Olympics, New Jersey is dedicated to bringing pride into the lives of all involved. They provide sports training and athletic competition to children and adults with intellectual disabilities. Every season, they organize sporting events ranging from alpine skiing to basketball to rowing and more. In 2016, Special Olympics visited MetLife Stadium to learn the basics of football from some of the New York Giants’ players!
Morris Habitat for Humanity
The Morris chapter of Habitat for Humanity brings together communities to build homes and hope. They provide everything from new home construction to neighborhood revitalization to home repair. Currently, they are working in Dover, Mine Hill, Morristown, Mount Olive Township and Sussex County to renovate and rebuild homes and communities.
Morris County Tourism Bureau
Morris County Tourism Bureau provides destination marketing for the Morris County area. They promote the historic, cultural and recreational opportunities for residents, tourists and business travelers. In 2013, this organization installed its Morris County Wayfinding Signage Pilot Program which helps direct vehicles and pedestrians through four municipalities to various attractions.
Preschool Advantage
Preschool Advantage provides the tuition for eligible children to attend one of their partner preschools. They aim to close the gap between children from lower-income families and their more affluent peers. They were recently featured in NJ Monthly for their great work in pushing for early education for all!
From Houses to Homes
From Houses to Homes organizes groups of volunteers to visit Guatemala to help the indigenous people living in squalor. They build homes and provide medical care and education to encourage and support the community in improving their quality of life. In 2011, they built a clinic that now has treated over 18,000 patients!
