LinkedIn’s New Company Page Updates
Recently, professional social media platform, LinkedIn, made some big changes to their Business Page design offerings. As social media becomes a large piece of our marketing plans and strategies, LinkedIn is taking advantage by bringing business page profiles up to today’s standards. LinkedIn is known as the largest professional social media network and is especially popular as a marketing tool for Business-to-Business companies.
What’s New With LinkedIn Pages?
Your Company Page may have a new look! There is a new design that makes it easier to introduce your company to the LinkedIn community and members.
There is also a new admin experience, which makes it easier to edit and manage your Company Page, including in-line editing. With the new feed, you will be able to quickly view engagement metrics for individual and aggregated company updates. LinkedIn members will continue to see your company updates feed on the Company Page, but in Admin view, the company feed has its own dedicated page.
Additionally, there is now an expanded analytics dashboard that helps you measure the impact of your content and optimize performance.
What Should a Page Admin Do?
Log into your LinkedIn account and go to manage your page. You can get a head start with the new LinkedIn page by uploading a cover image! The recommended size for the cover image is 1536 x 768 pixels. You can also updated your company logo and add a tagline for your company. The minimum logo size is 300 x 300 pixels.
For now, you’re still able to switch back and forth between the old and new LinkedIn Company Page admin experience until LinkedIn releases the new design to all LinkedIn members. To do this, you can click on the banner displayed at the top above your company name.
LinkedIn Company Pages
Not everything is changing with LinkedIn’s Company Pages. Your Company Page content will automatically migrate over to the new Page, so you don’t have to rewrite anything unless you want to. Now is actually a great time to take a look at your company description, services and other details to ensure that it is up to date.
You are still able to post content to and sponsor content from your Company Page. If you’re looking for more information about Sponsored Content, you can reach out to our marketers here at Paradigm and we’d be happy to walk you through it.
You will also be able to create Showcase Pages, which will also benefit from the redesign. Showcase Pages are niche pages off of a company page. They allow a company to promote specific products, sub-brands or market to a specific type of buyer. LinkedIn users can follow singular Showcase Pages without following the business or their other Showcase Pages.
