2. I need to join every social network.
Not true! Be concise and consistent with your social media messaging strategy. It is important to engage with your target audience on the social media platforms that are important to them. Research what social media outlets your potential customers frequently use, and then target them using those social media channels.
3. I only need one social media channel.
Just as you can have too many networks, you can also have too little. Do not put all your eggs in one basket. By having a few different social media channels, you are able to reinforce your brand and your message through various platforms,.
4. Social media cannot be measured.
You are able to receive analytic on various social media platforms. You can track content, new leads, conversions, visits to your website, specific campaigns, and so much more. Social media technology is tailoring itself to help support the business marketing world.
5. It’s all about you.
Use social media as a tool to show your followers, neighbors, customers, and supporters that they are part of a successful and caring community. Social media can be used as a promotional tool for your brand or as a way to show your expertise in the industry. It can also be used to share the success of others within your business community or industry.
